Our Team
Jeremiah Stone, Executive Director
Jeremiah Stone serves as Executive Director for the Epilepsy Foundation of Alabama, a role he assumed in mid-2024. In this capacity, he advances education, advocacy, research, and community outreach, working to dismantle the stigma surrounding epilepsy and expanding access to essential resources. He has contributed to several national epilepsy committees, including the Epilepsy Policy Advisory Committee and the Affiliate Agreement Working Group. Under his leadership, EFAL has launched innovative partnerships with the Birmingham Stallions and Birmingham Squadron, uniting the power of sports and epilepsy awareness, and has secured increased funding from multiple sources to implement new programs and services.
Jeremiah’s commitment to the cause is deeply personal, he was diagnosed with epilepsy after experiencing seizures in 2017 and has a brother-in-law living with uncontrolled epilepsy, both of which fuel his passion for advocacy.
Before joining the Epilepsy Foundation, Jeremiah made significant contributions at the Children’s Aid Society of Alabama, particularly in digital innovation and community engagement. He also has a strong background in student-focused ministry and continues to mentor emerging leaders through the Ministry Leadership Center.
An active community leader, Jeremiah serves on the Junior Board of Unless U, the Alabama Head and Spinal Cord Injury Trust Fund Advisory Board and is an engaged member of the Kiwanis Club. He has also previously served on the board of ForYou Ministries.
Jeremiah holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies from Huntingdon College (’16) and a Master of Arts in Youth Ministry from Memphis Theological Seminary. He lives in Vestavia Hills, Alabama, with his wife, Allison, and their son, Cash, where they are active members of Mountaintop Church.
